Nutrition Basics: The Simple Truth

Intro

Before discussing which meal plan or diet you should follow, it is of utmost importance to understand what food is and how your body works. We spend so much time becoming experts at many other things like our jobs, hobbies & social media, but we don’t invest time in learning how to safe guard the very instrument that allows us to do, experience and enjoy everything we love in life. That special instrument is our body.

DO NOT wait until it’s too late to become SMART ABOUT FOOD.

 

What is Food?

All Food is categorised as either a Protein, a Fat or a Carbohydrate. These are called “Macro Nutrients”.

Proteins are Meats, Poultry, Fish, etc.

Fats are food such as Oils, Butter, Avocados, Nuts, etc.

Carbohydrates are Fruits (and Fruit Juice), Vegetables,  Breads, Pasta, Table sugar, Honey, etc.
